British Land appoints Tesco deputy as new CFO

British Land PLC (LON:BLND) has nabbed Tesco’s deputy CFO to take over as its head of finance.

Bhavesh Mistry is expected to join the property group as CFO no later than August 1, 2020, with, until then, David Walker to continue as interim.

Mistry became deputy chief financial officer at Tesco over two years ago and prior to that spent five years at Whitbread’s Hotels & Restaurants arm.

Mistry will be an executive director of British Land and join the main board, the group said.
